Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance can I book?
I am currently taking bookings for 2 years in advance. I turn away many brides each year because I am already booked, so once you have a date booked, please get in contact for a quote to avoid disappointment.

What’s the deposit?
I take a non-refundable deposit of £60 to secure your wedding date. This combined with a completed booking form, secures your date. The deposit is then deducted from your final total, invoiced 4 weeks before the wedding date.

Is there a minimum booking?
Yes, I have a minimum of 3 services per wedding. This can be hair/makeup or both.

How do I book a trial?
Once your deposit is paid and your date is saved, the next step is to arrange a trial. I find these work best 3-6 months before the date, when all your ideas, dress, and accessories are final. Please just message me to arrange one. Most of my trials are done freelance, travelling to you, this does depend on your location. I am available on some weekend dates around my weddings but please note trials do often take place in the week during the day.

What happens at a trial?
This is when we meet and chat about all of your wedding plans. I love to hear about everything! We chat about your hair and makeup ideas and I ask lots of questions. Usually, in the first style we crack the look, any changes after the trial is no problem! It’s nice to meet each other and on the day I know exactly what you’re after.

Do I have to have a trial?
No not at all! Most brides choose to have a trial but I do many weddings where I haven’t met the bride and they love the look created on the day. If you’re worried about having your hair and makeup done or unsure of a look, I would advise a trial. Usually, it’s just the bride who has a trial but if I have availability and a member of your bridal party would like to trial an idea, this is often possible.

How many people can you do on the day?
This completely depends on your ceremony time. For most weddings, we need hair and makeup finished an hour before the ceremony, to allow time for photos/dresses/meetings with registrars, longer if you need to travel further… If you’re happy to start early, so am I! If you’re planning on getting ready at the venue, please be aware some venues have restrictions on when we can start, which also limits how long we have. I’m used to working on large bridal parties and am speedy. I do have a few hair and makeup friends, who can also assist me when they’re free.

How long does it take?
On the day most hair or makeup styles take me 30 minutes per person. 1hr for both.

Can you apply my own makeup?
Yes! I have a large kit with a range of colours and brands, but if you have products that you love, I’m more than happy to apply them for you.

What are your prices?
Please send me a message via website or email and I can send over my prices. Please include location, wether you’d like hair/makeup/both and numbers for your bridal party.
